Finance & operations analyst

As a Finance & Operations Analyst, you will play a crucial role in supporting the financial, operational and legal functions of Irys. Your primary responsibilities will involve managing our financials, identifying trends, and providing insights to drive strategic decision-making. Additionally, you will be responsible for optimizing operational and legal processes, streamlining workflows, and implementing efficient systems to improve overall performance.

In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams and work directly with the Founder & CEO. You will be expected to conduct financial analysis, forecasting, and budgeting to support business planning and resource allocation. By assessing key performance indicators (KPIs) and monitoring operational metrics, you will help identify areas for improvement and recommend solutions to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and increase profitability.

About You

We are seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented, and trustworthy Finance & Operations Analyst to join our team. Ideally, you have a strong analytical mindset, excellent problem-solving skills, and a keen eye for detail. Proficiency in financial modeling, data analysis tools, and spreadsheet software is essential. Additionally, you should possess a solid understanding of financial principles, accounting practices, contract review and negotiation and operational processes. Effective communication skills are crucial.

What You’ll Do

• Planning, budgeting and authorizing expenditures
• Planning, organizing and coordinating the year-end close process with internal and external auditors
• Managing the documentation of all financial books and records
• Ownership of processes from concept to planning, implementation/execution and scaling
• Plan, organize, and oversee a variety of human resources functions, including payroll, benefits, HRIS, compliance, and operations
• Ensure compliance relating to employment matters, including but not limited to managing contracts, and implementing applicable regional requirements
• Support with team onboarding and offboarding
• Establish and maintain records, reports, personnel files, and databases accurately and effectively
• Leading and supporting all operational functions relevant to the management of our revenue operations. This includes daily cash movements including investments and rebalancing, reconciliation of accounts, positions and contractual obligations, development of enhanced reporting capturing all relevant metrics, and development and maintenance of Policies, Standards and Procedures
• Building and maintaining relationships with new and existing finance and technology provider partners
• Leading evaluation and implementation of automation solutions for relevant processes to minimize manual reporting and process flows
